Actions Parameters
Most actions do not need to be parameterized. For
instance, when you bind a Next Slide action to an event, you won't be prompted
for more details. However, many actions can be customized to exactly match your
needs: for instance, if you bind a zoom action, you will need to specify whether
the zoom factor needs to be X2, X4, X6 or X8.
Actions parameters may be specified in two
ways:
- Permanent
Parameters: When you specify parameters from the
Configurator's interface (this explained here after), the actions parameters
are said to be permanent: once set, the action will use these parameters every
time you play this action. If you specify a X2 zoom factor from the
Configurator's interface, the display will be zoomed with a X2 magnitude every
time you will perform the corresponding event.
- Transient
Parameters: For Interactive Actions, you may
change the parameters from the Action Toolbox
interface (this is explained here after), and the behavior of
the action will change accordingly. However, if you stop the action then trig
it again, the action will use the Permanent Parameters that
you defined from the Configurator's interface. In other words, the parameters
that are changed from the toolbox of an action are lost every time you stop
the action.
Setting Actions Parameters from the
Configurator
When you bind a parameterizable action from the Configurator's
interface, a popup will prompt you for parameters. For instance, expand the
Graphic tools category in the Configurator then drag the
Pen icon onto the right side of the Media Button 1's box in
the central area: the following popup, will prompt you for
parameters:

You may change the color of the pen by clicking on the
 symbol
You
may specify that the pen will write with transparent ink by checking the
transparent box
You change the size of the pen brush by selecting the
wanted size in the Size drop down
list. |

Actions
When using
an Interactive Actions a semi-transparent Action Toolbox interface is display at the right
bottom side of your display. This toolbox takes a solid aspect when you pass
the cursor of your mouse on its surface.This toolbox is designed to allow you
changing the appearance (i.e. the parameters) of the action.
Note that the
parameters that you modify using this toolbox won't be saved. The next time,
you'll launch this action, it will take its parameters from the ones that you
specified from the Configurator's
interface.
